Ha, ha. Get it? I crack myself up sometimes. But maybe that's not a good thing because it usually means I'm tired and have had a hard day. I think it's both today.
Anyways... enough about that. Are these cute or what?! I first saw these last year when I was visiting my favorite store, The Decorette Shop in Tigard. Best store ever! My Mom introduced me to this store years ago and it has been a love love relationship ever since. Yes, love love. No hate for this sweet shop. (No pun intended.)
So my kids and I made a bunch of these to take to school for treats. Last year they went to a private school so they could take home baked goods in for treats. I loved that. I'm sad this year that we can't do that.
They are super easy to make and can be filled with almost anything. We chose popcorn because most kids like popcorn (and it was cheap.) Okay, that was really the number 1 reason we chose popcorn... it's cheap.
Take a glove. (We used the cheapo ones.) Drop a candy corn in each finger for the nails. Then fill with popcorn. Add a spooky Halloween ring and there you have it. Easy, right? But totally cute!

Very cute, and clever to send this to the kiddo's classes....something they can help with, and can produced in mass without having to take out a loan!
A mom at our school did something similar last year and the kids LOVED them. I love that they are all wrapped up in a neat little "package".

They are always a hit with the kids!! Last year we go one with Cheerios in it, but I think the pop-corn looks better and you need less to fill the gloves

this is such a cool idea, and can be reproduced many times on the cheap, so perfect!
WE love Halloween goodies, loved your cookies and boogers and these hands. I did a kitty litter cake one year. It was amazing but no one would really eat it! So funny - cookie crumbs for the litter and fudge droppings.
I remember making these in 3rd grade to give to our reading buddies. I also remember being a bit disappointed that we weren't allowed to eat any of this! :)
Where did you find the "cheapo" food service gloves? I've been looking around Salem to find some, and all I can find are the latex ones - which look less cute & more creepy when filled as edible hands. ;) Thanks!
I bought the gloves at The Decorette Shop (most favorite store EVER!!!) in Tigard. They were a couple of dollars for a pack of 20.
