Cowgirl Chocolates Review and Giveaway
Yep, you read that right - chocolate + giveaway! Is there anything better sounding than that?!
Have you heard of Cowgirl Chocolates? Portland Monthly magazine states "the peppery undertones of Cowgirl Chocolates puts the spurs in your taste buds. Habanero caramels and assorted truffles offer something for every sweet Jane, whether prone to plainness or calamity." Love it!
Cowgirl Chocolates is a company out of Moscow Idaho and there chocolate is like no other. Oh sure, there are spicy chocolates out there, but not like this. This is truly butt kickin' spicy chocolate!
I was lucky enough to receive their Spicy Truffle Bars to review. This included their Spicy Raspberry Dark Chocolate Truffle Bar, Spicy Toffee Milk Chocolate Truffle Bar, Spicy Almond Dark Chocolate Truffle Bar and Mild Hazelnut Milk Chocolate Truffle Bar. Yowza!
I first have to say that I am a giant weenie when it comes to spicy foods. So these were super spicy for me. So I took them to work and we had a little tasting party with my co-workers. Here's what they said: "the dark chocolate is wonderful. It's not bitter or grainy." "I like the sweetness and then the kick afterwards. Perfect amount of spice." "The raspberry in the center of the dark chocolate is a great contrast to the spicy. Love it!"
They have so many amazing and different flavors, from Mild Lemonade White Chocolate to Spicy Lime Tequila Dark Chocolate. There is something for everyone!
Don't like spicy? No worries, there is something for you too! The mild Truffle Bar didn't have a kick to it at all. It was delicious and smooth and I loved it! (I didn't share that one.) =o) Their mild flavors include Mild Lavender Dark Chocolate, Mild Sarsaparilla Milk Chocolate and Mild Dark Green Tea (to name just a few.) Don't they sound amazing?

Ivory Orange Truffle Is the one that sounds the best to me.
The spicy dark chocolate almond bar. The ivory orange truffle sounds good, too..but dark chocolate almond will always win.
