If you have been reading my blog you already know how much I love "snail mail". I love going to the mailbox and finding an envelope in there. My first thought is "it's not a holiday, what's this". Then I get all excited and wonder who sent me a card or letter.  It makes me giddy.  Am I a dork?  Obviously I don't get mail very often at all!  That's why I love it so much.

I also love sending mail.  We send strange things in the mail.  At Easter time we sent eggs to friends and family.  (Yep, eggs!)  We sent out bottles filled with salt water taffy and parts of the Oregon Coast in them.  We send packages of baked goods to my nephew all the time and we just sent a box of cool, fun socks to my niece.  I told you I liked mail =o)

Then I get an email from Jolleen, a Senior distributor over at Send Out Cards, asking me to take a look at their products.  I wasn't sure what to expect so I wanted the video link she sent.  OH EM GEE!!!!  My new favorite site!!!

Send Out Cards is an internet based company where you log on, design (or pick one of their hundreds of card designs), add your text or message and they do the rest.  They print your card and send them for you.  So it's actually sending a card in the mail but you don't have to go to the card store (and pay a fortune for a card), put postage on it, fill out the address, etc.  You just go online and do it.  And the best part?  (Besides doing a whole lot less work?)  It's much cheaper than buying a card from the store!  How cool is that?

Still skeptical?  Click on the link here to go and send a free card.  You will see just how amazing this company is!

Here's a look at the card that Jolleen made for me.  She used pictures that she found on my Facebook account and uploaded them.  That's my kids!

How cool is that?!?!

And take a look at the inside!

And you're not going to even believe this part.  You can add a gift to your card too.  They have so many amazing gift ideas from from gourmet foods (my favorite) to books and audiobooks to things for kids even.  Here are some of my favorite.

How about a Mixed Berry Tea Purse

Or a sugar free Jelly Belly gift box

I'm totally craving the Pumpkin Pie Dip!

I love these fun Nail Polish Pens

And look what Jolleen sent to us to try!  Oh man, were they delicious!!!!  I'm all about sugary, chocolatey goodness.

Send Out Cards is perfect for any occasion, whether your sending a card or small something to say hello, or for a birthday or anniversary, or... oh yeah, even Mother's Day!  Go check them out and see what you think.  They recipient of the card will be very glad you did!

So what do you win in our giveaway?  Send Out Cards has graciously offered at $25 gift certificate to one of our readers.  That's $25!  That's a lot of cards to send to people.  You will be like Santa Claus!

My Mom raised me as a "Thank you" card sender (which I am grateful for!) so we've started young with my oldest and he sends them out, too. We mostly send mail to our family who lives in CO and NJ since we're in MN. Our NJ Grandparents especially like receiving pretty pictures for their fridge! :)

I haven't sent snail mail in a while but I should do it more often. Nothing like a handwritten card. I would send it to all my friends, even local ones!

I love snail mail. I am a member of www.swap-bot.com and www.postcrossing.com. That way I get a steady flow of snail mail. YEAH! I love postcards too. I make and buy cards for my families birthdays and holidays. I live in Greece and they are all in the USA.

I send snail mail all the time. My mom is in prison (long story, but she did the right thing - our justice system just let her down) and doesn't have access to the internet & email. I send her stationary, cards, postcards. She has a mini-hallmark barter system going with the other inmates. It's wonderful to be able to bring her spirits up when she's in such a bad situation.

I send snail mail to my grandparents that don't use email. I sometimes send out thank you cards in the mail as well, when I want something that looks professional.
