Chobani Champions Yogurt and a Giveaway

What do you pack in your kid's lunch when they don't eat sandwiches? No really, I'm asking.  Because all last year I struggled.  There isn't a microwave at their school so what in the world was I going to give them every day to eat for lunch?

It wasn't until around April that I discovered that my kids loved yogurt.  I knew they loved "kids" yogurt. Who wouldn't when it's packed full of sugar.  But I always gave that to them as a dessert.  Then I discovered Chobani Champions yogurt and it changed my life.  It seriously changed my life.  It is so easy to pack my kids a lunch with yogurt as the main dish and they love it!

I always thought Greek yogurt meant it was made either in Greece or with some special recipe that was from Greece. Hey, don't laugh.  I didn't know.  Greek yogurt actually refers to how yogurt is made, not where.  Greek yogurt contains no thickeners, gelatins or stabilizers.  Instead, the yogurt is strained to remove the excess liquid.  That's why Chobani Yogurt is so thick and creamy.

So what makes Chobani Yogurt so special?

  • Chobani uses only natural ingredients.  It contains no preservatives and no artificial flavors.
  • Chobani is made with milk from cows not treated with rBST.
  • Chobani includes 5 live and active cultures, including 3 probiotics.
  • Chobani is made with real fruit.
  • Chobani has 2 times more protein than regular yogurts.   "All yogurt starts from the same basic recipe: you add cultures to milk and voila, you’ve created yogurt. Here at Chobani, we take it one step further.  We strain our yogurt, authentically creating its deliciously thick and creamy consistency. This straining process removes the excess liquid from our yogurt, which consists of water and whey.  Whey is naturally found in milk and contains several nutrients including whey protein. Our proprietary straining process allows us to separate and remove only the liquid portion of the whey, leaving the whey protein intact.  This remaining whey protein helps supplement your child’s diet with essential amino acids and other nutrients that fuel their inner champion."
  • Chobani is a good source of bone-building calcium.
  • Chobani is gluten-free and Kosher-certified.
  • Chobani is naturally low in lactose: 95% lactose free.
  • Chobani Champions is free of nut, soy, wheat and shellfish allergens.
And the number one reason why I love Chobani yogurt?  Because it's good for you and my kids like it.  That's a huge reason for me!

Chobani Champions comes in 4 amazing flavors:VerryBerry, Orange Vanilla, Honey-Nana and Vanilla Chocolate Chunk.

VerryBerry is delicious!  It's creamy and packed with real raspberries, blueberries and strawberries.    I think this one was my favorite!

Honey-Nana is a delicious blend of ripe bananas and Clover honey.

My son loved the Vanilla Chocolate Chunk (surprise!)  It had small flakes of delicious chocolate in it, not an over powering amount of huge chocolate chunks in it.  So it tasted like a dessert without being packed with sugar.  That was a huge bonus for this Mom.

My daughter thought the Orange Vanilla tasted like ice cream and she quickly gobbled it up.  The small orange pieces were a great compliment to the creamy vanilla yogurt.

Absolutely! In fact, every day, I make a fruit smoothie with fresh fruit (strawberries, blueberries and banana), orange juice or pear juice, flaxseeds, a 1/4 tsp. of cinnamon, a scoop of Green Vibrance and a big dollop of plain fat free Chobani greek yogurt. It's so yummy AND good for me!
