English Toffee Dip

I'm not exactly sure what to call this dip. The name that first comes to my mind is "bowl of total awesomeness that makes me want to actually eat fruit". But that's pretty long. So I guess I'll stick with English Toffee Dip.

A co-worker brought this into work a little while back and said "try it." I looked into the bowl and thought "are you kidding me?!" I wasn't sure what it was. Raisins or nuts maybe? A little scary for me. Plus he had apples to dip into it. Apples! I'm not saying I won't eat fruit. I'll eat apples (with a yummy layer of caramel covering it!) And I'll eat melon. But most fruit doesn't appeal to me at all (no pun intended.) But I sucked it up and tried it - for my co-workers sake. After all, I didn't want to be rude.

OH MY HECK!!! Can I just say that in the last two weeks I have eaten over a dozen apples! Serious! (Let's leave out the fact that I've also eaten 4 bricks of cream cheese!) =o)

It's really easy to make and so worth every single calorie!

Here's what you'll need:
* Cream cheese
* Heath candy bars (I used 3)
* apples

Yep, that's it!

Leave the cream cheese on the counter for about an hour or so (to soften it.) Meanwhile, crunch up the Heath candy bars. Smash them up really good! Now mix the two together. And there you have it. The best darn apple dip you will ever eat!

Enjoy!!!

Cream cheese will make anything taste better! I'd probably eat brussels sprouts if they were slathered in this! It sounds amazing and i might just make this dip for my next party! (or I might just make it and hide in the corner with a dozen apples). :-)

My mom makes an amazing apple dip. All she does is soften cream cheese, spread it in a glass pie pan, pour caramel over it [ice cream topping kind] then puts crushed pecans over that and has it set over night. It's amazing by far!! At my daughters party -- it was the first to go!

Thank you for sharing...I can't wait to make this. I mean I can't wait! I'm heading to the corner gas station to buy Heath Bars. Immediately. I may just eat the entire dip tonight! I have 2 apples on hand, and when I run out of those I'm going to use 'Nilla Wafers, and when those are gone, I'm gonna get a spoon! Yumm!
Thanks,
Amber

Now that's an awesome dip! When I first read it I though the recipe called for healthy candy bars - then realized it was Heath candy bars. I'm just going to pretend Heath and healthy are the same thing :-)
