What you'll need:
* plaster of paris
* water
* mixing bowl (an old one or one you use for crafts)
* stir sticks
* tempera paint
* molds (you can use anything.)
Yep, it's that simple.
Do you have to use plaster of paris you might be asking yourself? I mean, you can google 'how to make plaster of paris' and it'll say flour and water. So this should work, right? That's a big, giant NO. We tried it. It was a sticky, gooey, horrible mess!!!
Add some paint to color it.
Put it into the molds and let it dry. If you want the traditional chalk mold you can use a toilet paper tube. Put aluminum foil over one eld. When the chalk hardens, tear off the toilet roll.
Pretty cute, huh?

And I think your blog is great for grandmothers too! I'm all about making memories with my grandchildren after doing it with their mummies when they were kids. Thanks, Erin
