MexAmerica Foods Giveaway

I'm a HUGE lover of Mexican food!  I'm pretty lucky to have so many great Mexican restaurants in the area where I live.  But out of all of them, my absolute favorite is a little Mexican Bakery/Restaurant.  It's authentic Mexican food, not American Mexican, and it's amazing!

My kids aren't huge fans of Mexican food so I feel a little deprived most of the time.  There are a couple of things they'll eat so I make those often.  One of them is spaghetti tacos.  I know.  Not Mexican in the slightest.  But it's my excuse to make me a delicious taco while making them a spaghetti taco.

When MexAmerican Foods sent me some of their products to try, I was so excited.  Tortilla shells are a staple for me for simple things like wraps and sandwiches.  I love them!

One of my kid's favorite things to get at a local fast food restaurant is a crispy chicken wrap.  They are pretty darn good.  So we used MexAmerican's Wraps and made our own.

They were really simple to make.  We bought chicken strips from the grocery deli, added some shredded cheddar cheese (and lettuce for me) and then added some ranch dressing.  Delicious and so easy!

Because my kids love spaghetti tacos so much they decided they wanted to try Spaghetti Burritos.  I know, right?  Weird to me but they loved them!

My son loved them!

MexAmerica Foods has lots of different delicious products.  I loved their Flour Tortillas.  (Flour Tortillas are my favorite!)  MexAmerica Tortillas are made fresh and never frozen.  "We start with the finest ingredients and MexAmerica’s secret formula. The mixture is kneaded and rolled into small dough balls and then pressed flat producing a “perfectly imperfect,” soft, and naturally-shaped tortilla. They are baked carefully until done, revealing their distinctive “toast points”. We believe this time honored method produces tortillas that are superior to the circular “punched” tortillas produced by many larger companies."  This could be why they tasted so good!

MexAmerica Flour Tortillas are available in traditional white flour, whole wheat blend and 100% whole wheat honey.  They have zero trans-fat, low in calories and high in fiber and protein.

MexAmerica Corn Tortillas are made fresh using stone ground corn from the Midwest.  They are soft and delicious tasting.  They are also gluten free and have no trans-fat.

MexAmerica Wraps are my new favorite.  I used these in place of bread for a healthy and delicious alternative to the "normal" sandwich.  They were delicious!  They come in a variety of flavors: traditional white flour, 100% Whole Wheat with Honey (which is what I tried.  Amazing!), Sun Dried Tomato and Basil, Garlic Spinach & Pesto and Garlic & Herb.  The possibilities for these are endless.

Do you need recipe ideas?  MexAmerica also has a great recipe portion on their site with ideas for healthy choices, gluten free recipes, desserts, appetizers, main dishes and so much more.

But don't just take my word for it.  Head on over to MexAmerica Foods and see for yourself how delicious looking everything is.  You can also find them on Facebook.

MexAmerican is also giving away a trio of yumminess to one reader as well.  Enter on the rafflecopter below for your chance to win a package of Flour Tortillas, Corn tortillas and 100% Whole Wheat and Honey Wraps.

Giveaway is open to US residents, 18 years of age and older and ends November 6th.

Oh my goodness. You've actually given your kids spaghetti tacos? Mine have begged for them, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. Now that I know your kids actually love them, I may have to give in to my boys. Your kids must be iCarly fans, that's where mine got the idea for spaghetti tacos.
