Trü™ Pickles Giveaway
We have this joke in my family that we are a little obsessed with condiments. Seriously obsessed! If I cleared out all the condiments in my refrigerator right now I think 3/4 of the stuff in there would disappear. How can someone have that many condiments? Well, I'll tell ya' how. You never know when you're going to need it. =o)
Don't believe me? What kind of mustard do you put on a hot dog? What about a ham sandwich? The same mustard? Heck no! "Regular" mustard has to go on a hot dog but a ham sandwich gets honey mustard. And what about mayo? Or is it Miracle Whip? Totally depends on what you're making.
Now here's the big question? What about pickles? Are you a dill fan? What about Bread and Butter chips? Or there's sweet pickles too. Holy smokes. The possibilities are endless.
I'm a huge fan of Bread and Butter pickles. So is my son. We eat them like candy. But my daughter wants nothing to do with them. She is a big dill pickle fan. She eats them as a side dish. (Yep, that's my girl.) I could too.
Have you heard of Trü™ Pickles? Greg Skufca is the founder of Trü™ Pickles with a recipe that has been passed down to him by his great-grandmothers. Friends had been telling him for years that his pickles were so amazing he should sell them. One day Greg decided he would give pickle making a try and Trü™ Pickles was born.
Trü™ Pickles have NO fat and NO calories and contain NO artificial colors, oils or emulsifiers. Did you read that? NO calories! Yeah! So I don't have to guilty for eating the entire jar! =o)
The secret with Trü™ Pickles? The classic flavor and crispness comes from the use of grape leaves packed in every single jar. I'd never seen that before and was immediately intrigued by this passed down family ingredient.
Trü™ Pickles were also the winner of the 2012 Cooking Light Taste Test Awards!
Trü™ Pickles come in three "flavors": bread and butter, dill and smoked black pepper.
Tru Bread and Butter Sliced Pickles are delicious! Most bread and butter have quite a few calories and lots of sugar in them. Trü™ Pickles don't. They have the right amount of tangy taste to them, perfectly complimenting a burger or sandwich!
Tru Original Dill Pickles are made with big cloves of garlic (yum!) and have a spicy tastes to them as well as the dill flavor. They definitely have a zing to them unlike other dill pickles.
Tru Smoked Black Pepper Pickles are so unique! "Years ago, the Skufca family would fire up the smokehouse to cure all
their fresh meats. One day, Grandpa Skufca accidentally left some of the
fresh cucumbers inside the smokehouse. Grandma Skufca had a good laugh
and decided to go ahead and pickle those too, just for fun. Using
Grandpa’s smoked cucumbers and her own delicious pickle recipe, she
created the first smoked pickles!"
The Smoked Black Pepper are definitely original. They smell smokey and delicious and have a spicy kick to them.
But don't just take my word for it. Check out Trü™ Pickles for yourself. You can also find them on Facebook and Twitter.
And the fine folks at Trü™ Pickles have generously offered to give one Making Memories With Your Kids reader a jar of each flavor to try. That's 3 jars of delicious pickles so you can start your condiment collection like me.
Enter to win on the Rafflecopter below. Giveaway is open to US residents, 18- years of age or older and ends November 14th at midnight.
